Welcome to the Academy Soccer League!
The Academy
Soccer League is honored that you found your way here. Our
sole purpose it to assist you and your Clubs by providing a
League Scheduling Body that accepts teams from U8 through
U19. We are an Open League sanctioned by US Club Soccer that schedules games based on
Skill Level, a Teams History and Accomplishments. Whether
you have a new team that has formed or an established Elite
Team, we are able to provide a balance game with equally
matched teams. There are no Membership, Affiliation or Bond
requirements. We follow Federation Guidelines for our Laws
of the Game.
What the ASL
has always been is a League Scheduling Body. We have no
desire on mandating Rules on how to run your Club.
We have no desire to have By-Laws that require Legal Counsel
to decipher. We have no desire to modify Federation Rules
and cause confusion. We are a League Scheduling Body. That’s
it, nothing more.
We are
dedicated to assisting your Academy Program
for your U8 Boys, U8 Girls, U9 Boys, U9 Girls, U10 Boys and U10 Girls. The
Academy format should focus on the introduction to the more
technical aspects of the game (passing, dribbling, player
positioning, etc.) and conditioning.
Typically, the Academy Format is used as a Development
Bridge for players who want to cross over from Recreational
Ball to Competitive Ball. By having the Academy, it allows
you to concentrate on the technical aspects of the game
without the pressure of the Competitive Format.
By offering the Academy Format, you will be offering
training to players that are interested in improving their
soccer performance on the field and to lay the foundation to
improve their individual skills as a player. The training is
focused on the technical, tactical and conditioning demands
of the game held in a positive environment as it relates to
each player.
Beginning
in 2009, the ASL included the ages of U13 through U19 and
added a College Premiere League which will allow your Senior
Elite Teams a League to play where they will play Premiere
and Elite Teams to prepare themselves for College Showcases,
etc.
